Ideas for Temporary Alternatives to a Range Hood? -- Good Questions

Q: I'm moving into a new apartment with one big issue: no vent hood over the stove. Is there a temporary, affordable solution to filter grease and other airborne nastiness that results from cooking? Obviously, this can't be vented and can't be permanent, since we're renting and the landlady is very strict about changes to the apartment.
